Description

Construction of the WIPTEC order processing center in St. Hubert, QC (Longueuil). Headquartered in Sherbrooke, WIPTEC is a company working with retailers to prepare their online orders.

The choice of the city of St. Hubert was guided by the strategic geographical location of Longueuil (and its airport) and its quick access to major highways.

Features

Canam was in charge of the steel structure design and also the foundation of the building, in collaboration with his engineering partner, Magela Expert Inc.

One of the major challenges of this project was an accelerated schedule – the building was completed in only four months to the client’s satisfaction.

3,000 tons of steel were required to complete the building structure that includes joists, steel deck and conventional steel structure.

Area: 70,600 m2 (760,000 ft.2)
