South Carriage Place Apartments

Description

Construction of the South Carriage Place condominium and rental apartments located in London, Ontario. The 13-storey building consists of 150 residential apartments, amenity areas, underground parking and an indoor saltwater pool. 

Canam’s services were selected for the supply and installation of the Hambro D500 composite floor system.

Features

A special request from the customer

In order to reduce the costs and maximize efficiency of the Hambro floor system, the customer requested to align all Hambro joists from the first floor up to the roof. By standardizing each floor, the work of other trades involved was simplified and predictable.

The drafting team was able to complete this unusual request in only eight days, during the busiest time of the year.

A very tight schedule

Another major challenge of this project was an accelerated schedule for the first delivery.
