Description

Canam’s services were selected for the design, fabrication and installation of the entire envelope for this temporary corridor, without foundations, installed on the Quebec Jean-Lesage International Airport existing tarmac.

This project, unique in its kind, featured many challenges of implementation and coordination including a sloping floor subject to vibrations, a thermal expansion (cold floor, hot wall), a building geometry with angles and a connection to an existing building on two floors.

For this corridor, Canam provided Murox shop-fabricated load-bearing wall panels as well as conventional steel structure, such as joists and steel deck.

Area:  541 ft (165 m) long.
