Eldorado Gold Québec

Description

Construction of the administrative building for the mining company Eldorado Gold Québec located in Val-d’Or, Quebec. This building includes, among other amenities, a mezzanine and a special room that allows workers to dry their clothes in baskets hung on joists.

Strict job site management

Considering the special features of mining sites, a more sustained job site management and daily follow-ups on health and safety aspects were required.

Under very good weather conditions, the building was erected in four weeks, instead of the five originally planned. 

In planning for a future expansion, non-load bearing Murox wall panels were installed on one side of the building only, which will facilitate the operation.
