Canam Group is pleased again this year to support the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) in presenting the 2015 Award for Excellence in Innovation in Civil Engineering. This award was created by the CSCE in 2009 to recognize outstanding innovations in all civil engineering disciplines.
This year’s award was bestowed on the engineering firm Buckland & Taylor Ltd. for the Milton-Madison Bridge Replacement project.
“Canam is proud to continue its association with the CSCE and to encourage innovation in the field of civil engineering in Canada by sponsoring this award,” stated Tony Bégin, Senior Director of Integrated Project Delivery at Canam-Buildings. “The practical and commercial application of experimental discoveries aimed at improving the design and construction techniques used in civil engineering projects is consistent with our company’s position statement: Better Building Solutions.”
The award was presented at a ceremony on May 29 during the 2015 CSCE Annual General Meeting and Conference in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Founded in 1887 by prominent civil engineers in Canada, the CSCE is a learned society intended to develop and maintain high standards of civil engineering practice in Canada and to enhance the public image of the civil engineering profession.
