Canam is pleased to support again this year the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) in presenting the 2019 Award for Excellence in Innovation in Civil Engineering. This award was created by the CSCE in 2009 to recognize outstanding innovations in all civil engineering disciplines.
This year the award was bestowed to the City of Moncton in recognition of their innovation on the Avenir Centre, an energy-efficient, multi-purpose sports facility including an NHL-size ice surface with more than 8,800 permanent seats, which is also home to the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
“Canam is truly proud to sponsor this award since its establishment in 2009, stated Tony Bégin, Senior Director at Canam. It is totally in line with Canam’s innovation culture in civil engineering for better building solutions in the Canadian construction industry.”
The award was presented on June 14 during a ceremony at the 2019 CSCE 2019 Annual Conference in Laval, Quebec.
Founded in 1887 by prominent Civil Engineers in Canada, the CSCE is a learned society created to develop and maintain high standards of civil engineering practice in Canada and to enhance the public image of the civil engineering profession.
